2.Reality TV

Reality TV shows are viewed by many people. On these shows the attenders do anything in order to be famous. For example big brother. All they do is fight, humiliate, do something stupid, etc. People who watch these shows get affected because for most people nowadays the only thing that is important is to be rich and famous. These shows change the characteristics of a person who watches, even a kid. They just want to be like them. And this pushes the society into an unethical environment. Women gets degraded, children starts to commit crimes such as driving drunk, people starts to humiliate other people in order to be what they think is "cool". So basically reality tv shows affect people in the society in a bad way rather than a good way. It is meaningless and no use for any person.

  1. This is an interesting analysis of the effects of reality shows. But I think you borrow Rushdie's idea when you say "the only thing that it is important is to be rich and famous", so don't forget to mention him there.

FYI, 'attenders' should be 'contestants' or 'participants'.

Why do you think there is such a need for fame and popularity? Is this a new need, do you think?

  2. i think reality tv is some kind of a show business and not all the people effected negatively because of it. there may be lots of people watching them just for fun. in my opinion an educated person can defend himself from the negative effects of reality tv.
